Jeffrey Tambor Departs ‘Transparent’ Amid Sexual Harassment Accusations

Jeffrey Tambor Departs ‘Transparent’ Amid Sexual Harassment Accusations
Jeffrey Tambor will not be returning to “Transparent,” reports Deadline. The news follows two different accusations of sexual harassment against the actor, who’s won a host of awards — including two Emmys, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award — for his performance as Maura Pfefferman on the acclaimed Amazon drama.

“Playing Maura Pfefferman on Transparent has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of my life,” Tambor told Deadline today. “What has become clear over the past weeks, however, is that this is no longer the job I signed up for four years ago.”

“I’ve already made clear my deep regret if any action of mine was ever misinterpreted by anyone as being aggressive, but the idea that I would deliberately harass anyone is simply and utterly untrue.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: Chance The Rapper Charms His Way Through The Season’s Best

‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: Chance The Rapper Charms His Way Through The Season’s Best
The biggest shock to come from this week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” is that Chance The Rapper can apparently exist without his signature hat. He might even thrive without it, which is a fascinating reality to accept. The point is, with or without the hat, Chance The Rapper hosts the best episode of this season so far, the first one to maintain a consistently good quality from top to bottom as well as successfully use the host to their strengths. In fact, Chance The Rapper showed signs in this episode of being the next Justin Timberlake for “Saturday Night Live” in terms of his versatility, gameness, and general sense of humor as a host.

The second biggest shock is that, despite the opening monologue, the “Family Feud” sketch, and some Weekend Update, this year’s Thanksgiving episode is not tied down to the concept of being a Thanksgiving episode.

Elizabeth Smart Saw Her ‘Terrifying’ Lifetime Movie Alone: ‘I Never Want to Watch It Again’
Elizabeth Smart may have been heavily involved in the making of the Lifetime movie about her 2002 abduction, but that didn’t make seeing the finished project any easier.

“I had been over the script probably about 100 times…then I narrate a lot of it, so I had seen a lot of the difference pieces, and then finally watching the whole thing come together in one format, it was terrifying,” Smart, who served as the narrator and a producer on I Am Elizabeth Smart, explained to E! News.

Smart was taken from her bedroom and brutalized by her captors for nine

HBO has yet to officially green light a “Watchmen” TV adaptation, but Damon Lindelof has been hard at work on the series for more than a month. Chronicled with sly references and clever comparisons on the showrunner’s Instagram account, the series — which received a pilot order from the premium cable network in September — has already generated a lot of buzz.

The tribute, which will air on PBS on Monday night, took place in Washington D.C. on Oct. 23 and saw several of Letterman’s peers, including Franken, give tributes to the former “Late Show” host. Ever since Thanksgiving Day became an official holiday in 1863, Americans have celebrated it with gusto. Each year brings new opportunities to spend time with favorite folks. Many gather together with family and friends for a sumptuous meal. Others serve community meals, and bring entertainment for those who have none. Plenty will watch parades and football games. The day wouldn’t be complete without some wonderful Thanksgiving songs, too. Here are eight favorites: 1. Josh Groban: Thankful This beautiful song was originally a Christmas song, but it’s message has come to be meaningful for many people for all times and places.

‘Sunday Night Football’ Ratings Surge As Eagles Claw Cowboys; Trump Says NFL Should “Suspend” Marshawn Lynch

As the various dramas surrounding Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones whirl around the NFL and Donald Trump today called for the suspension of the Oakland Raiders' Marshawn Lynch for not standing for the U.S. National Anthem during a league game against the New England Patriots in Mexico yesterday, Sunday Night Football seemed almost a low-key affair. Going distinctly not low-key, the President got going early this morning and once again centered his social media spotlight…

Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” Parody by Harley Quinn

It’s not generally nice to make fun of people, but in terms of a parody of Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do by Harley Quinn, you can’t help but laugh. It helps to think of it not so much as making fun of Taylor Swift but really more of a good laugh at Batman and the Joker via Harley Quinn. It’s also a chance for adolescent boys and grown men to drool since the female cosplayer is rather good-looking and, um, in very good shape. As far as the singing goes she’s got it down just about perfect,

Lizzy Caplan is Returning to Her ‘Party Down’ Roots on ‘Ill Behaviour,’ and She’s Very Excited About It

Lizzy Caplan is Returning to Her ‘Party Down’ Roots on ‘Ill Behaviour,’ and She’s Very Excited About It
Lizzy Caplan is great at playing dark, jaded, and edgy characters. She hates that word — “edgy” — but she still uses it to describe Nadia, her role on the new Showtime acquisition, “Ill Behaviour.”

“I think the perception of me is that I played this type of screw-up a lot,” Caplan said in an interview with IndieWire. “It was a return to something familiar, but playing this type of sardonic– I hate the word edgy, but edgy screw-up, in a situation that was completely novel was exciting. I wanted to put back on my black T-shirts and my smeary eye makeup and get back on that horse again for a minute.”

The novel situation she refers to is indeed that: Nadia is a doctor called upon to illegally administer chemotherapy to an unwilling patient. Played by her husband, Tom Riley, Charlie wants to tackle his cancer with alternative medicine, but his

The Top Five Cheesiest Arnold Schwarzenegger One Liners in Movies

Arnold Schwarzenegger has done pretty well in his career, but there are some supremely cheesy one-liners that he’s served up throughout the years. It used to be that he could barely speak English and be understood, but after that was dealt with the 80’s and 90’s treated him to some of the worst lines he’d ever had in his life. It wasn’t bad enough that his accent still made some words hard to understand, but giving a guy with a noted film history like his the kind of one-liners that make people laugh at an actor and think that their

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Review: Gilmore Girls Banter Meets Vintage Woody Allen, With a Feminist Twist

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Review: Gilmore Girls Banter Meets Vintage Woody Allen, With a Feminist Twist
Amy Sherman-Palladino’s characters are always so casually witty, it’s about time one of them actually tried being funny for a living, right?

The Gilmore Girls creator’s sparkling new Amazon comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel — debuting Wednesday, Nov. 29 — is set in the burgeoning stand-up comedy scene of 1958 New York City, and that time period is such a perfect fit for Sherman-Palladino’s old-Hollywood, rat-a-tat-tat dialogue, you wonder why she ever set anything in modern times. The pilot introduces us to Midge (Rachel Brosnahan), a quirky, quippy Jewish spitfire in the Lorelai Gilmore mold. (She’s the type who
