‘Fire and Fury’ to Be Adapted Into TV Series

‘Fire and Fury’ to Be Adapted Into TV Series
Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” is being eyed for an adaptation into a television series, Variety has confirmed.

Endeavor Content has purchased the film and television rights to the book, which goes inside the first year of Donald Trump’s presidency. It largely portrays Trump as unprepared for the enormity of his office, and that he is unable to focus his attention on policy details. The book also includes quotes from former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who referred to the 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer as “treasonous.” Bannon eventually resigned his position at Breitbart News over the furor caused by his statements.

The book proved to be an immediate best-seller and was sold out at bookstores in several major cities the day it was released.

No studio is currently attached to the project. Wolff will serve as an executive producer on the project with former

TV Ratings: 'Black Lightning' Gets a Promising Premiere on CW

TV Ratings: 'Black Lightning' Gets a Promising Premiere on CW
Good news for the CW. It seems the network still hasn't exhausted its viewers' appetite for superhero shows.

Black Lightning joined the lineup on Tuesday night, making it the fifth comic book series on the network — seventh, if you're counting genre-divergent entries iZombie and Riverdale. The first hour pulled a strong 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers. Those numbers are quite sound by CW standards, especially when you consider the fact that lead-in The Flash, the CW's No. 1 series, only performed incrementally better. Black Lightning shared The Flash's score in the key demo and lost fewer...

The series, titled “Aim High,” is described as a dramedy centered around a Southern family. Masters and Killebrew will write and executive produce the potential one-hour project.

Chicago P.D. Review: Raising The Stakes

Oh Mekhi Phifer, it is so nice to see you on NBC again. I know we’ve seen him on a season here and there of various shows, but the ER alum finally came to his first home network. Though it was just for one episode, it was a heck of a performance. Not only that, but this particular hour of Chicago P.D. was an ER reunion of sorts, since the episode’s director Eriq La Salle is a member of the original cast. I’ll stop with the history lesson now. Point being, if you noticed a heightened level of emotion in the intricacies

To Win Olympics, NBCU Must Lure Big Crowds – and Small Streamers

Whenever NBCUniversal broadcasts an Olympics, the massive media company is eager to make a big splash. To succeed, however, executives must increasingly sweat the small stuff.

Yes, NBC has lined up Katie Couric to co-anchor the usual colorful primetime broadcast of the Opening Ceremonies from PyeongChang, South Korea, on February 9th. But the company will also stream the inspirational gathering live, so tech-savvy consumers who don’t want to wait until big-viewing TV hours can watch an unfiltered feed of the event earlier in the day. Yes, NBCUniversal’s various outlets will broadcast more than 2,400 hours of skiing, figure skating, snowboarding – and analysis of same. But the company will show the bulk of it – 1,800-plus hours – on NBCOlympics.com and its NBCSports app, compared with 631.5 hours on linear TV networks like NBC, Nbcsn, USA and CNBC.

“We expect that this will be the most-consumed Games across all platforms,” said Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBC

Chappelle's Show Turns 15: The 15 Greatest Sketches, Ranked
We really didn’t know how badly we needed Chappelle’s Show until it arrived, did we?

Back in 2003, SNL was fine, but not exactly groundbreaking, and sketch comedy was hard to find anywhere else on TV. So when comedian Dave Chappelle unveiled his Comedy Central sketch show, it felt like a bomb went off: No other show felt so current, or so vital. No other show was so willing to tackle hot-button issues like race, sex and politics. And no other show was so damn funny — not even close.

Now, 15 years later, Chappelle’s Show only seems more revolutionary and more iconic in retrospect.

Dylan Farrow Details Sexual Assault Allegation Against Woody Allen in Emotional Interview

Dylan Farrow Details Sexual Assault Allegation Against Woody Allen in Emotional Interview
Dylan Farrow detailed her allegations of sexual assault at the hands of her father, Woody Allen, in a lengthy interview with Gayle King that aired on Thursday’s edition of “CBS This Morning.”

Farrow, 32, recounted her story of being touched by Allen, her adoptive father, in August 1992. She also said she experienced other incidents of inappropriate behavior with her father, including him asking her to come into bed with him when he was wearing only underwear. Allen has once again strongly denied the allegations.

Farrow said she decided to give her first TV interview on the alleged assault that occurred when she was 7 because of the groundswell of public support for victims of sexual harassment and abuse. She has called on actors to shun Allen and his films.

“It was very momentous for me to see this conversation finally carried into a public setting,” Farrow said of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements. “Because I have
