Ruben Fleischer of Zombieland fame will be calling the shots from behind the lens, and though Sony declined to comment, it’s being reported that Harrelson will portray “a henchmen of sorts.”

Story-wise, the Eddie Brock solo movie has a script from Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who recently dabbled with rip-roaring adventure thanks to their contribution to the Dwayne Johnson-led yarn, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. New Venom Set Photos See Tom Hardy In Action

Since Sony’s Venom began production back in October, a steady stream of pics from the set have leaked out. The latest bunch have arrived online today and though not terribly revealing, they showcase Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock shooting what looks to be a motorcycle action sequence.

If you’re disappointed that the actor isn’t in the classic black suit in these shots, then you should know that the big reveal of what the movie’s version of the symbiote supervillain looks like won’t occur for a while yet. It’s been confirmed that Venom will be an entirely CGI creation though, so don’t expect to see the creature until, say, the first teaser trailer drops sometime next year.

However, we can still gather something about the approach to the film from these photos. As said above, it looks like this is an action-based scene. But from Hardy’s casual wear,

Ccxp Teaser Poster For Venom Officially Unleashed

“We are Venom.”

Initially spotted at Brazil’s annual expo early last week, the banner image features a classic rendition of the alien symbiote that first slithered onto the pages of Randy Schueller’s comic in ’88. Now, almost 30 years later, Fleischer and Mad Max star Tom Hardy are about to deliver a hardboiled version of the iconic anti-hero, and we understand filming is already underway across parts of Atlanta and New York.

As a matter of fact, both Hardy and Fleischer have been dropping story clues all this week, after the latter revealed another comic inspiration for Venom‘s narrative arc: Planet of the Symbiotes. First published in ’95, its story will seemingly be fused with that of Lethal Protector,

First Venom Movie Poster Revealed

The first poster for Venom has been revealed. The Comic Con Experience in Brazil is currently happening and, though not as well known as San Diego Comic-Con, there's still a lot going on and studios are trying to promote their upcoming releases. Sony is currently filming the Venom movie and used Ccxp as the place to unveil the first poster, and possibly movie logo, for the Spider-Man spin-off.

Fans of the comic book version of Venom, who first appeared in the world of Marvel Comics in 1984, will likely be pretty pleased with this first poster. It features a blood red V, with the titular character's snarling face, sporting his signature, razor-sharp teeth. The larger banner also reveals the tagline, "We are Venom." That likely refers to the fact that Venom is the product of an alien symbiote and the host, who has taken on different identities over the years in the comics.
