The Show We Need
30 May 2017 | by See all my reviews

I just recently found the first season of this show and devoured it. It is so engrossing. The characters are complex and compelling; the soundtrack is anachronistically fantastic; and the portrayal of American slavery is desperately needed.

I was drawn to it because of Aldis Hodge, dazzled by Jurnee Smollett- Bell, and stayed for everything and everyone else.

I'm so eager to start the next season, but I'm bummed that it'll be the last season. Regardless, it's definitely worth your time.
