Storyline

The team is targeted by The Pilgrim, a deadly assassin who wants to erase the Legends from the time line by killing their younger, non-superhero selves. As a protective countermeasure, Rip decides Sara, Snart, Rory, Professor Stein and Jax need to kidnap their past selves first before The Pilgrim gets to them. Coming face-to-face with the younger versions of themselves proves to be both a physical and emotional challenge for certain members of the team who would rather forget their past. Rip tells them he has a refuge for their precious cargo - an orphanage that raises future Time Masters and where he himself grew up.

Goofs

When Rip and Firestorm rescue Ray's younger self, an on-screen graphic shows the scene taking place in 2014 Star City. But that year, it was still Starling City; while Ray had proposed the name change that year (in "Arrow: The Calm"), it isn't mentioned until "Arrow: Green Arrow" in 2015 that the change was actually made. Last Refuge p-owns Arrow and Flash for the week
21 April 2016 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

FREAKING GODS!!!! It's official, Legends of Tomorrow kicked Arrow and Flash's butts all week long. AGAIN. Got a romance, keep it in the subplot. Got a bad deal, LIE and CHEAT like hell because it's a BAD DEAL. The ep had great emotional beats with Jax and his dad, and Rory forgiving his younger self and therefore himself. Love Rory's arc of becoming the comic bad ass with vital intel of the team, it's unexpected and effective. BabySnart and BabyJax were super adorable, can't fault Sara and Kendra for cooing. Then there are the comic beats such as Rory just calmly waiting for Sara to eventually beat The Pilgrim, his comments to his younger self and Martin's dad and the note in BabyJax's crib. And shot of the week goes to the 360 of The Pilgrim time-freezing the team. Then the little bugger saving the day, who expected that after his innocent act?! And to top it off (ha hah!), Captain Lance had consistent hair in the entire ep. Arrow can't even do that.

LoT keeps coming with the surprises, humor, heart. And this week blowing away the road-kill stench of Versus Zoom from my brain. Score: 9.5
