Directorial debut of Andy Serkis.
Andrew Garfield stayed in character in between takes. Claire Foy would even scratch his itches.
Jonathan Cavendish, Robin's son, is a film producer and is one of the producers on this film.
Andy Serkis has stated that this film was a labor of love in that the story depicts the real-life odyssey of Robin and Diana Cavendish, the parents of his friend and business partner Jonathan Cavendish.
Three wheelchairs were made by Teddy Hall, he named them the 'Cavendish' wheelchair. Teddy Hall built the original chairs with his own money. He had a considerable amount of money because his grandfather discovered the largest lump of gold to be found at the time in Australia.
Diana Rigg, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Roger Ashton-Griffiths all starred together in HBO's hit series Game of Thrones (2011).
Parts of this film were shot at Royal Air Force Benson.
